Dane DeHaan plays James Dean in the first trailer for Anton Corbijn‘s Life, alongside Robert Pattinson as Dennis Stock, the Life magazine photographer sent to profile the tragically short-lived movie star. Set in the 1950s, the period drama follows Stock and the Rebel Without a Cause icon as they begin their unlikely road to friendship, with Stock behind the camera every step of the way. DeHaan and Pattinson look like an intriguing combination so it will be interesting to see how their relationship translates on-screen.
While the movie’s U.S. release date is yet to be confirmed, Life will open in theaters in France on September 9 and September 25 in the U.K. Watch the trailer above then check out the behind-the-scenes footage of N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton.
